Let me tell you a bit of my story to show you why I brought this company to life.
I started out as a curious kid fascinated by music and sound. Eventually I learned how to play the guitar and write songs at the young age of 13.
Once I got to a point where some people were starting to resonate with my music, I knew I needed to find a way to gain more exposure... BUT in order to do that I would need proper audio recordings / music visuals.
So, I extensively researched online and made some phone calls, just to find out that to have my songs professionally mixed/mastered and visually represented it would cost thousands of dollars! I was 15 at the time and there was no way I could afford it. I would stay awake late at night frustrated trying to come up with a solution, and that’s when it hit me... "I guess I'll just have to learn how to DO IT myself".
That’s when my audio journey began.
I spent all my free time from that moment on learning how to mix/master/produce and make audio visuals. I attended seminars, learned from experts, and invested in a lot of gear throughout the years. While learning, I also managed to continue writing and performing my original music and building up my brand (and still continue to do so). It has been over 10 years and I'm fully confident with the content I'm able to produce for myself and my clients.
I never thought of offering these services because I was so focused on my own thing, but then something funny happened... As I started posting more music content on social media (Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, etc...) I noticed a flood of requests from musicians and companies around the world, asking questions like:
✔️ Do you mix your own music?!
✔️ Who filmed/edited your music video?
✔️ Who masters your tracks?
When I would tell them it was all me, they would ask if they could hire me to do a project for them!
That’s when I realized the value I could bring in this field. You don't have to use up 10 years of your life learning the technical audio/video aspects like I did. Instead, you can focus on what you do best, while we handle the rest.
Jony Studios has received a lot of recognition for the value we have provided to our amazing clients! We have also been selected as the first Canadian recording studio to be a certified mentor for the LA based university, Recording Connection.
We mentor students by sharing our knowledge within the audio and business world, using real studio experience. The internship allows students to progress significantly within the music industry. Joining Kendrick Lamar’s producer, Beyonce’s audio engineer, Taylor Swift’s producer, John Mayer’s audio engineer, and Snoop Dog’s producer who have all been selected as certified mentors as well.
Now we have an amazing team of media / marketing experts and we have expanded into Podcast Production, Audiobook Production and even Website Design for brand growth!
